PARTNER PHYSICAL DISTANCING EXERCISES

TWO Person Physical Distancing Activities

These activities are designed for coaches or parents (we are always looking for games to play with our children) and involve two players only. The combination of these players could be siblings, parent-child, child-child from same bubble.

TEAM Oriented Physical Distancing Activities

Activities designed for interactions between groups of players, focusing on key playing references, while maintaining physical distancing.

These activities are modified from the exercises that we would typically use with a larger group of players. They are designed for two individuals, a child and parent or two siblings or two individuals from the same small bubble that is agreed upon by the families. This is a new time with new demands.

There are limitations of course to not being able to train with others.

– Cannot get the variability in training by using cones or without opposition (disruptors),

– Coaches cannot get as close to instruct or nurture as we were able to before the coronovirus.

These two player exercises allow a parent or caregiver to be with the player, or a sibling / guardian who can care directly for the child. These exercises also begin to offer disruption to the players and this disruption challenges their decision making.
