CROSS OVER AND END UP WHERE YOU START
Perhaps the most important movement exercise when development the technique. Like a practice swing for a golfer or baseball batter, this movement creates then reminds players of the balance and fundamental movements of the ball striking.
The movement that the ball striker executes include a lean to one side, a cross over, and then the ball striker returning to the spot where they started. As the ball striker crosses over there should be an attempt to keep their hips ‘locked’ forward at the target.
This movement can be practiced without a ball then the same tempo and feeling should be kept when the ball striker strikes the ball.
