Opening Up AND Breaking The Line Around A Triangle (Basic Actions)
In this variation, players follow their pass while the receiver stands beside the cone (defender). When the pass is bounced back, the player backs up to Break The Line then receives the return pass and Opens Up to play forward. Following the pass, the player moves to the cone and stands beside waiting for the ball to travel around the triangle/square.
- The first pass is to the ‘Safe Side’ relative to the cone/defender. A safe side pass ensures players can keep possession.
- The second pass to the receiver can be firm and into feet allowing the player to open up around the cone setting themselves up for the next pass.
