4v3 Doos Activity with Designated Central Area & TRANSITION : Doos = Dutch for Box
Area: Build a small square, a second square with 2 yards space then build a large square around it that includes four 2-yard channels that run into the central square.
– Players must stay within the perimeter of their area. This will ensure passes are not played through easily and allows for variability with defending positions.
– Defenders can go into other ‘available’ defending areas (no other defender present).
– An attacking player can enter the central square only if they travel down through the channel. They must also return to the outside by using the channel.
– Other attacking players can fill the space of the player in the middle while they are in the middle. The central player must then identify the side of the square to return to (an available area).
– Defenders can stay in for one minute and count the number of times they intercept combined with the number of kick-aways by the attacking team.
TRANSITION ELEMENT
– There is now a TRANSITION for the defenders who can individually or work together to score on one of the min goals. The players must not come into the same square and the yellows must also stay in their areas
